When Master Villain takes a hero, He often makes them believe they are a statue built in their own honour. They become frozen in heroic poses like this, allowing Him to photograph them from every humiliating angle, especially so when He whispers into their ears and causing them to become incredibly, helplessly hard.
They remain that way until they can move again. At which point, the hero’s immediate, instinctive first move is to kneel. Just as all hero-boys should.
